Size Matters

Our handy "sizes chart" can help you prepare files for printing in the U.S.A.

A printed piece can be a work of art. Thoughtful design and specialty bindery functions can produce intricate, three-dimensional products that are a marvel of engineering and execution. Though this kind of production is impressive, most printing jobs are far simpler. Standard sized stationery packages, brochures, flyers, and invitations make up the bulk of orders at many printing companies, including ours.

The chart to the right shows sizes commonly printed at C-K Graphics. While paper can usually be cut to the size you need, standard envelopes are provided pre-converted to these specific sizes. Keep in mind when you are designing your piece that it usually costs less to print on standard sizes than to custom cut your paper, or to convert (fold and glue after printing) envelopes. Please refer to the chart anytime you need confirmation, or print out the chart for handy reference.

Remember, though the size of your piece may be standard, the impact needn't be. You can still create effective design within the constraints of standard printing sizes. You are limited only by your imagination and printing budget.

If you have questions about this or any printing issue, our customer service reps will be happy to answer them. After over 26 years in the printing business, we have the knowledge to help turn your idea into a successful printed piece.
